MBBS programme

SRM's MBBS is a 4.5-year programme + 1 year of Compulsory Rotatory Residency Internship (CRRI) (5.5 years total), with an intake of 247 domestic + 3 NRI = 250 seats, admitted through NEET-UG and MCC centralised counselling. The curriculum follows the NMC's Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) framework with early clinical exposure.

A standout advantage is SRM's Simulation Centre operated in association with Harvard University — one of very few in India — giving students simulation-based training in procedural skills, emergency medicine, and surgical technique before they ever touch a real patient. During CRRI, interns receive a stipend of ₹13,500 per month. Entry criteria: age ≥17 by 31 Dec of the admission year; Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (per NMC norms); valid NEET-UG score.

All MD/MS programmes are 3-year courses; a one-time non-refundable ₹10,000 registration fee applies in Year 1.

• Pre-clinical / para-clinical (non-clinical) MDs: ₹3,00,000 – ₹10,00,000/yr
